Alex Fernandez

I played 14 years of professional baseball with various teams, including the Seattle Mariners, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, San Diego Padres, and Pittsburgh Pirates. Additionally, I have experience in international professional baseball, having played in countries such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Taiwan. I represented the Dominican Republic team at the Baseball World Cup and participated in five Caribbean Baseball Series.

As the owner and director of instruction at Providence Prospects indoor baseball institute, I have over five years of experience providing professional baseball training, focusing on teaching kids and youth the fundamentals of the game. I also coach AAU and showcase teams for ages 9 to 15, emphasizing youth baseball coaching.

Furthermore, I am the owner of AAU Prospects Baseball Academy in Colombia, an academy dedicated to developing youth prospects in South America and the Caribbean.

With a strong background in professional baseball training, I am a proud 4X State Champion and celebrated as a 3X R.I. All State player. Additionally, I have been honored as a 2X Recognized Division I Player of the Year and a 2X Johnny Bench Award Nominee.

My achievements also include being selected as a 2X Division I All-decade Catcher for Rhode Island and receiving accolades as a Louisville Slugger All American. During my time at Boston College, I served as the 4-year starting catcher and was recognized as a New England All-Region Selection. My experience extends to being named the New England Collegiate All Star MVP and playing as a member of the Cape Cod League, where I was part of the championship team.
